February 28, 2026 – Protesters in San Marcos, CA took to the street in front of Home Depot to demand an end to the retailer’s cooperation with ICE. The protest was one of many happening throughout San Diego County, demanding Home Depot to top letting ICE on its properties and calling for the retailer to make its stores safe for shoppers, employees, and day laborers.

The event outside the Home Depot in San Marcos drew positive feedback from passing motorists who honked horns. In addition, several vehicles that appeared to be headed into the Home Depot parking lot opted to turn away after seeing the protest.
