February 28, 2026 – Protesters in Encinitas, CA raised their voices in song to tell Home Deport to stop cooperating with ICE. The protest was one of many happening throughout San Diego County, demanding Home Depot to top letting ICE on its properties and calling for the retailer to make its stores safe for shoppers, employees, and day laborers.

The event outside the Home Depot in Encinitas was unique thanks to a group of musicians who led the crowd in protest songs throughout the day. In addition to receiving positive feedback in the form of honking horns from passing motorists, many vehicles that entered the turn lane leading to the entrance of Home Depot took a pass after seeing the protest.
