The blue wave isn’t coming — it’s already here. Coastal voters in America’s most affluent beach towns are rising up against Trump, billionaire greed, and a Congress too afraid to act. In this eye-opening street interview series, we visited Del Mar, California, one of San Diego County’s most exclusive coastal communities, where voters are sounding the alarm on everything from Trump’s Iran war and suspected insider trading to AI job destruction and the billionaire takeover of American democracy. With as many as 10 protests a day happening across San Diego County, the mood is clear: even in wealthy zip codes, people are fed up. Here’s what voters told us:
💰 Billionaire Greed, Corruption & Insider Trading — Voters aren’t buying the idea that Trump and his inner circle aren’t profiting from war threats and market manipulation. “I don’t even think they’re hiding it,” one resident said.
☢️ Nuclear Fitness & the Situation Room — Reports that generals blocked Trump from the situation room and restricted his nuclear code access have coastal voters deeply alarmed about whether he is fit be be in charge.
🏛️ Family Self-Dealing — From Eric Trump’s $24M Pentagon robotic startup deal to Jared Kushner negotiating Middle East peace with zero diplomatic experience, voters see a White House running a family profit operation.
💸 Defense Spending vs. Social Programs — A billion dollars a day on Iran. A record $1.5 trillion defense budget. Meanwhile, Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security are on the chopping block. Voters want to know: who is all that money really defending?
🤖 AI & the Tech Bros — Billionaires racing to deploy AI without guardrails while planning luxury bunker escapes isn’t a plan — it’s a betrayal of the working class.
🗳️ Citizens United & State Houses — Voters are calling on Democrats to fight harder to win state legislatures and pass campaign finance reform at the state level, since Congress has failed to act.
📈 Tax the Rich. Build the Middle Class. — From FDR to LBJ, Democrats built the middle class with bold progressive policies. Voters say it’s time to stop playing small and reclaim that legacy.
